What Is This Wedding Budget Calculator?
The wedding budget calculator is no different from the spreadsheets you probably know already. It runs on Micrsoft Office Excel and is fully programmed to automatically perform mathematical calculations and deliver the relevant results. Its main purpose is to enable you to plan your wedding in a first stage based on your budget and in a second step to analyze whether you were beyond or below your budget range. You can customize all options and titles so you can make it fully functionable for your own wedding.
How The Wedding Budget Calculator Works
Its philosophy is very simple. And this makes it very handy indeed. Even if you are not very familiar with spreadsheets. Just follow the steps below and everything will be fine.
- First you only need to download the file to your computer.
- Then open it in one of the well-known spreadsheets. We recommend Microsoft Excel
- On the right side of the file you will find the categories of expenses we have added for you (bride’s expenses, reception, flowers etc). You can change the names of each expense so that you can personalize it according to your needs. Each category is divided into estimated costs (the amount you plan to spend on each separate part of your wedding) and actual costs (the amount that you eventually spent).
- On the left side of the file you will find the summary. It is a table with all summaries gathered by each category. Both in estimation and actual costs. There you can also see the total cost of your wedding, in order to get a more general view.
- Just below you will find the chart. A simple pie chart showing the percentage of each expense category in relation to the total amount spent. Note that this only applies to actual costs rather than estimated.
