Sometimes beauty lies just in simplicity. That’s exactly what Kate and James had in mind when planning their wedding in Ios. Coming from distant Australia, they were looking for a place with simplicity and natural beauty. It is perfectly reasonable that they eventually ended up in Ios Island.

Like many couples who plan their wedding in Greece on time, they got in touch with us about 2 years before their wedding. From the first moment we were told that the wedding (both the ceremony and the reception) would take place at Liostasi Boutique Hotel. A luxurious hotel, just outside Ios Town on a magnificent hill, with great views. We don’t often find hotels of this quality that we like so much, and we admit that Kate’s and James’s choices were very reasonable.

Australian weddings usually have a strong element of frantic partying, but that was not the case. A very relaxed couple along with their loved ones and closest friends celebrating their special moment with refinement and simplicity. Even wedding DJs sometimes need a relaxing break from intense partying, and Kate and James’ wedding was the perfect break for us.

The whole wedding day was definitely distinguished by the relaxation that characterized the couple. A very beautiful and emotional ceremony overlooking the port of Ios followed by a gourmet dinner at the award-winning restaurant Liostasi Hotel.

Just after sunset, our entertainment machine, mr Michael Gemenoglou took over the night’s entertainment who managed to fit so many genres of music in such a short time (top 40s, 60s, RnB, 80s, Rock’ N Roll, House etc).
