Mykonos, the first thing that comes to our mind when it comes to weddings is frantic parties. Besides, all wedding DJs dream of a wedding in Mykonos where they can hold the party until early in the morning. After all, Mykonos is known for its intense sense of entertainment. Right?

And yet ladies and gents, there are exceptions to this, such as Michelle and Sam’s wedding, which showed us that there is also a more sophisticated side of Mykonos. And we truly loved it so much. Let us explain why.

Michelle and Sam were very appreciative of the high quality from the very beginning. After all, it is no coincidence that they chose a glamorous hotel like the Grecotel Mykonos Blu. This in itself helped us understand both their style and also design how we would make this wedding in Mykonos unique. The ceremony was a religious function (in Church), so we only had to provide DJ services just for the wedding reception.

Almost a year and a half before the wedding when we first talked to Michelle and Sam we realized that they were a simple couple and didn’t like any exaggerations at all. But there was also a small detail that gave us room for creativity. The distant Greek roots of Michelle. The Greek element was something on which we invested, and it definitely paid off. We followed the simplicity that characterized the couple, while adopting the sophistication and high quality that we pride ourselves on anyway. Even the setup of our equipment was a wonderful minimal total-white elegant setup, that fitted in the enviroment of Mykonos Blu so nicely.

Nikos Plotsikas! His cool personality in combination with his smooth DJ style was exactly what this wedding needed. For Nick it was like being in his natural surroundings. A beautiful venue, with about 50 guests coming from the United States of America and Australia, ready for a loud but relaxed wedding party. And that was exactly what he delivered that night, until we had to turn the music down.
